Downtown Chambersburg is a vibrant commercial, social and residential center, attracting and serving people, day and night, in a clean, safe environment that blends our local historic buildings with contemporary and efficient infrastructure.

Downtown Chambersburg is a Main Street community that utilizes an established, comprehensive, economic development model to revitalize its core and to realize its vision.  This model utilizes a four-point approach that focuses on organization, promotions, design and economic development and is anchored by a preservation-based ethic.

The Main Street model demands stakeholder involvement and a variety of partnerships.  Downtown Chambersburg Inc (DCI) and the Downtown Business Council (DBC) are the lead organizations that work together to implement the four-point approach.
