Experience Downtown Chambersburg’s history with a walking tour!
Following the path of early Americans, Benjamin Chambers settled for a few years along the Susquehanna River. Later, Chambers traveled into the Cumberland Valley and selected the waterpower of the Conococheague Creek and the Falling Spring to run his mill operations. He acquired the land rights to 400 acres from the family of William Penn and turned his vision of a settlement into Chambersburg. We invite you to share in these special events and times that followed by taking this self-guided tour.
