The largest festival in Franklin County, IceFest helps shake the mid-winter blues with a four-day festival. Downtown sidewalks are lined with hand-carved ice sculptures and events happen every day including the Chili Cookoff, Icing on the Cake, Snowfall Ball, live ice carvings and more.

The North Square Farmers Market brings south central PA a variety of the best locally grown produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, arts and crafts, coffee and more. All of it exclusively from local farmers, artisans and entrepreneurs and all in a fun, social atmosphere – complete with free kids’ activities, live music, friends and neighbors!

ChambersFest

ChambersFest began in 1986 when local organizations came together to create a festival commemorating the town’s rebirth after its burning on July 30, 1864 during the Civil War. Today, ChambersFest celebrates the spirit of the townspeople with a week of fun, family-friendly events for thousands of people to enjoy every year.

Old Market Day and 1864: The Burning

The capstone of ChambersFest activities is the final Saturday of the festival when the two largest events are held. Old Market Day is a street festival featuring art, craft and food vendors as well as live music on two stages. Later that day is 1864: The Burning, a reenactment of the ransom and burning of Chambersburg with a fantastic laser lights show.

1864: The Burning - July 20, 2019, 8 p.m.

CrabFeast is a popular annual festival featuring all-you-can-eat hardshell crabs, barbecue chicken and all the fixin's, small games of chance and more. While the event isn't held downtown, proceeds from the event go to benefit downtown revitalization efforts.

Duck Derby

More than 2,000 ducks will race down the Falling Spring Creek to the finish line during the 6th Annual Duck Derby. Winning ducks receive up to $250. Proceeds support downtown revitalization.

AppleFest

AppleFest is a free, family event in downtown Chambersburg held on the third Saturday in October from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring art, food, crafts, music, kids' activities and carnival rides.
