2020 Keystone Community
Downtown Chambersburg Inc. (DCI) embarked on a path to obtain Keystone Community Designation from the state of Pennsylvania in January 2020. Keystone Community Designation will give our downtown free technical training, prioritization for Keystone Community grants & grant-to-loans, and would make our downtown eligible for Neighborhood Assistance Program Enterprise Zone Tax Credit.

We have had two steering committee meetings and started our public engagement process. The first step of the public engagement process would be a current perceptions survey. This survey was done in two smaller surveys.
We are working on a second perceptions survey that allows for the public to enter their comments.

Towards the end of March 2020, we will be collecting property and business information for an inventory.
​
Committees are being formed to review drafted goals, objectives and action items for the topics of Economic Vitality/Development, Design, Safe-Clean-Green and Promotions/Marketing.
